Monday night is Must-See-TV

NBC is the place to be on Monday nights.

- Chuck: haven't seen it, so I won't say anything about it.

- Heroes: Seriously, either rent the DVDs or try to catch up online. This show is ruling the airwaves now. Last season, it was all about the heroes discovering their powers and meeting each other, some to fight - at the time - the ultimate evil. Now, the remaining heroes are getting on with their lives in various ways while discovering the previous generation of heroes. And an ultimater evil. They saved the world last season, now what.

- Journeyman: Seriously part 2, give this show a chance. I did and I'm glad. I've only watched the last two episodes but they have both been great.

The first time I mentioned Journeyman, I compared it to Quantum Leap. Well, the similarity is time travel and helping people. The difference is how.

Quantum Leap was about a scientist experimenting with time travel. He'd jump back, find out the situation, help someone, then leap to another time and situation. Journeyman is about a reporter who somehow has the ability to jump to various points in time. Don't know how, since I missed the pilot. His jumps are more random. He can't control it, but does know when it's coming.

For instance, he'll jump back into a situation, usually find out when in time he landed and who he encounters. Then when he comes back, he searches for background info on the person he met and determine what he needs to do when he jumps again. The next time, it might be three years later when he goes back.

It's a good show. Give it a shot. If you don't want to follow the sci-fi part of it, follow the family drama. His wife knows that he jumps through time and can't control it. His jumps have caused some rifts in his current family life. Drama!

So there you have it. Grown-up me has given you two prime-time shows to watch on Monday nights. Not-so-grown-up me would have said in the past "who cares, wrestling is on". Well, those days are gone. Now, it's NBC on Monday nights.
