SEC pickin' review and preview

On the young season, I'm 21-7 in trying to predict winners. Most of them have been easy picks. Some of the 7 incorrect ones were close, except for Urban Warfare. And no thanks to Arkansas and Vandy for making Alabama look good.

A big thank you to my Dawgs for giving me a wrong guess. I figured they would play Auburn close, but fall short in the end. Very glad they proved me wrong. And yes, I was there even though video shows otherwise.

As for this weekend's games, three games with potential for goodness. Three others that should provide needed practice for the respective teams.

Georgia at Alabama

Between the hedges, I likely would have taken the Hairy Dawgs. But the tempting ribs from Dreamland lead me elsewhere.

Too many kegs? - 27
Wake the arroga^H^H^Hghosts - 29

New Mexico State at Auburn

Before the MSU game, I had an Auburn fan tell me that he was more worried about this game than the MSU game.

Los Lobos - 35
THIS IS THE SEC, BROTHER! - 42

Fl*rida at Ole Miss

The O got the troops fired up last year and had LSU on the ropes in Death Valley. Can his wacky ways do the same at home against Urban Warfare?

Uh, no - 56
Missing P-Willie - 3

Kentucky at Arkansas

Big Blue pulled a huge upset in beating Louisville last week. Momentum baby! The Nutt pulled defeat out of his as^H^Hhind end (family show ($1)) when he had the game won in T'town.

Wildcats, no longer that mild - 35
WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU THINKING?!?!?! - 36

South Carolina at LSU

Lucky for Cackolacky, this game isn't at night.

Cockin' for an upset - 17
Ready to knock some co^H^H^H - 34

Arkansas State at Tennessee

Phat Phil's seat is getting hotter and hotter. And there aren't enough McRib's in the world to help him feel better.

Surprised at the # of colleges in Ark. - 14
Out of contention, aGAIN - 31

Gardner-Webb at Miss. State

Losing your starting quarterback is never good. Having a true freshman and an unproven JUCO as your backups isn't any better. They best find some passing mojo this week before heading to Columbia.

Runnin' Bulldogs - 14
Runnin' and better-be-passin' Bulldogs - 35

Off this week, Vandy. Rest easy, soul patrol.
